EbA- Building Climate Resilience of Forests through Ecosystem-based Adaptation
Building climate resilience of forests through ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) is a short-term project that aims to strengthen the climate resilience of forests in the Municipality of Elbasan, consequently improving locals’ livelihoods and enabling climate change adaptation.
The project consists of four components: 1) Institutional and technical capacity development for EbA in Elbasan; 2) Research on EbA and climate resilient livelihoods; 3) Awareness raising among citizens of Elbasan Municipality; 4) Implementation of a small-scale EbA intervention in the Municipality of Elbasan along the Shkumbin river, with the purpose of mitigating flood effects.
