URI in cooperation with the Municipality of Lezha and with the financial support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania, has implemented the project “Participatory Plastic Cleaning and Waste Management in the Municipality of Lezha\u201d as an attempt to help implement the National Strategy on Waste Management and assist in improving the management of solid waste to reduce plastic and other recyclable waste. The main goal of this project was to increase awareness on environmental protection, strengthen organizational and institutional capacities to implement plastic waste management through a participatory process. <\/p>\n\n
