Cult2Routes – Emerging Cultural Tourism by Discovering Hiking and Cultural Routes in the Cross-Border Area
Cult2Routes is being implemented in the touristic areas of the municipalities of Nestorio, Greece and Tepelena, Albania. The project’s primary goal is to enhance the tourism products of attractive areas by improving the tourist and cultural sites through the restoration of cultural monuments and by developing hiking and cultural routes with proper signage, information panels and maps that can be accessed on modern electronic devices. A complete guide to climbing routes in mountainous areas will be developed in the frame of this project. The planned activities will increase the number of visitors to these areas and promote opportunities for local business development.
